Kris DeVries is an accomplished professional known for developing strong, collaborative relationships within the different departments.

Her career started in EMS, where she enjoyed the fast-paced work environment and quickly fell in love with the healthcare industry and eventually transitioned into her real passion, healthcare administration. Twenty years later, she still loves what she does.

Her career at Altus Health began in 2010 when senior regional vice president Kevin Herrington hired her as administrative director of the Altus Baytown Hospital. During her tenure there, she was responsible for recruiting staff, developing physician relationships, and overseeing the daily operations of the imaging, cancer, sleep, and surgery centers.

Kris DeVries received the Harvey Hero Award presented by Mayor Sylvester Turner. She accepted the award on behalf of Altus Baytown staff for their outstanding actions before, during, and after Hurricane Harvey.

Her outstanding performance in Baytown led to her current role as Administrator of the Altus Emergency Center in Lake Jackson, where she oversees the daily operations of the ER and is heavily involved in all marketing initiatives.

Mrs. DeVries is a kind and caring leader known for going the extra mile to help anyone in need. Her calm, quiet demeanor makes her an approachable and highly effective leader who mentors, motivates, and urges her staff to achieve greater levels of success.

An artist at heart, Kris DeVries, originally from Pennsylvania, moved to Texas thirty years ago. She and her husband Mark have been married for 21 years; they enjoy traveling and going on fun adventures together.
