Not every illness or injury requires a visit to our ER, but these symptoms certainly do:

- Sudden Weakness or Drooping on One Side of the Body
- Inhaled Smoke or Poisonous Fumes
- Sudden Confusion
- Heavy Bleeding that Won’t Stop
- Broken Bones
- Deep Wounds
- Severe Allergic Reactions with Trouble Breathing, Swelling, Hives
- High Fever with Headache and Stiff Neck
- Poisoning
- Drug or Alcohol Overdose

Time Sensitive Conditions
Many of the symptoms listed above could indicate you are having a stroke or a heart attack. Both conditions require prompt treatment to improve the survival rate.
For instance, following a stroke, patients must receive clot-busting drugs within three hours for the best chance at avoiding long-term cerebral or physical damages.
In the case of a heart attack, patients must receive treatment to unblock clogged coronary arteries no more than 90 minutes after a heart attack.
