The Midlothian Community Comes Together During the Mayor’s Back to School Bash

Over Ten Years of the Mayor’s Back to School Bash

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, hundreds of Midtholian parents and students took home fun and lively memories from the Mayor’s Back to School Bash. This free family event sponsored by the local community outreach Manna House together with the United Way of Ellis County, Midlothian ISD, the First Church and the City of Midlothian has become a much-anticipated celebration, a prelude of the beginning of the new school year. This year, the Mayor’s Back to School Bash, held at the Frank Seale Middle School was filled with a rich variety of exciting activities such as a live DJ, carnival games, water slides, snow cones, a candy cannon, zip lining, bounce houses and face painting, vendors and a huge hot dog cookout.

The highlight of the event is to witness Midlothian Mayor Bill Houston get soaked in the dunking booth all in good fun.

Altus Emergency Waxahachie Joins in the Fun at the Mayor’s Back to School Bash

Midlothian Families Now Have an Option that Doesn’t Involve Waiting in Line.

Eddie Rescue made a special appearence at the Mayor’s Back to School Bash spreading cheer, smiles and warm bear hugs. This year, Altus Emergency Waxahachie joined the Midlothian community festivities by highlighting the importance of health, safety and making parents aware that in the event of an emergency, they have the option of getting high quality ER care without having to drive long distances or wait in line. We understand that nothing can be more important to a parent than to give their child immediate attention during a medical emergency. Altus Emergency Waxahachie follows in the Altus Emergency Center tradition of community outreach, awareness and providing premium ER care without lines.
