Amir Bashiri, RN, BSN, MBA

VP of Clinical Services

Amir Bashiri is another staple of excellence within the Altus Health organization. He is a passionate and dedicated individual driven to care for patients in their most vulnerable moments.

Amir joined Altus Health as a part-time employee in 2012. His work ethic, kind demeanor, and clinical and organizational skills led to him joining us full time in August of 2013 as the first clinical administrator in our Altus Baytown ER facility.

During his tenure as clinical administrator, Amir Bashiri, and the Chief Nursing Officer developed the clinical policies and procedures that other Altus Emergency Centers would later adopt and which still form the base of our quality of care standards.

In his current position as VP of Clinical Services, Amir works closely with all providers and nurses to ensure all our facilities deliver the highest quality care to our patients.

Mr. Amir Bashiri values teamwork, and it shows. His staff and colleagues consider him a beacon of knowledge who is always available to provide support and encouragement, yet he remains humble. For him, having his employees and peers think of him as a teammate is the highest accolade. Over the years, he’s been instrumental in building the family-like work environment that Altus Health is known for.

His best advice to his nursing staff is always to have the patient’s best interest,

“Do the right thing for patients, and everything else will fall in place.”

A seasoned emergency nurse with more than 18 years of experience, Amir received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch. However, as his career advanced, Amir continued to study and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.

Married for 15 years, Amir enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and camping and is passionate about woodworking.
