Katie Gordon, BSN, MSN

Katie Gordon’s organizational skills and commitment to patient care make her an invaluable addition to the Altus Health team.

Her excellent communication skills and passion for helping others make her an ideal fit for our work family. Albeit her short tenure, she’s already positively impacted how our organization approaches patient care.

As our Chief Nursing Officer and administrator, Mrs. Gordon’s responsibilities include overseeing clinical staff, ensuring the complex needs of our patients and community are met and exceeded, and guaranteeing our competency and care standards remain compliant.

Katie is a passionate and caring person who strives to be someone everyone knows they can count on in her personal and professional life. She approaches her duties with compassion, empathy, and honesty for patients and our clinical staff. Her ability to solve complex issues from a human perspective allows us to improve our work environment and strengthen our ties with the community.

A native of Louisiana, Katie has an impressive academic record. In 2009 she graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2021 she achieved her most significant professional goal after obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Lamar University.

In addition to her degrees, Mrs. Gordon holds certifications in the following areas, Women’s Services and Newborn Nursery, Certification in In-Patient Obstetrics (RNC-OB), Certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor.

Katie and her husband Cody are the loving parents of a six-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son. They love spending time outdoors, going to Disney, and the beach as a family. After first transferring to Texas, she quickly looked for ways to build community and is now actively involved in girl scouts and other extracurricular activities.
